Media reports that on 17/03/2012 in number of Orthodox churches around Moscow, the church-visitors were presented with a letter addressed to General Procurator of Moscow and calling for initiation of criminal charges (article 282, Criminal Code of RF - incitement of hatred) against Media, who covered the 'punk-prayer' in the cathedral on 21/02/2012 and the following events, as well as the Bloggers and other Internet-Users taking part in the support and 'inappropriate' discussions around the case. According to the letter, that was read out and offered for signatures to church visitors after the morning mass, the Ministry of Justice should not only punish the 'blasphemous women' but anyone who supports 'blasphemous' discussions: "it is obvious that behind the women, who are under arrest, there are powerful organizers, as well as Internet technologies", states the appeal, posted for public view on his FB page, by Michail Tyurenkov, an Orthodox vice-editor of "Culture" newspaper. Tyurenkov comments that authors of the letter will remain undisclosed for the moment, and expresses his confidence in collecting wide support, among which are 'very powerful ones'. In the statement made on 18/03/2012 by V.Legoida, the head of ROC's Information Service, ROC said that the sinod knows nothing about it and "no centralized order for such letters has been given from above".
